Responsibilities
•Conduct research and feasibility studies for new cleaning equipment technologies, materials, and components, focusing on commercial scrubbers and vacuum cleaners.
•Design, develop, and prototype mechanical, electrical, and software systems for new cleaning products, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, industrial design, manufacturing, and testing, to define product specifications and technical requirements.
•Perform detailed engineering analysis, simulations, and calculations to validate designs and predict product behavior.
•Develop and execute test plans for prototypes and pre-production units, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
•Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during the development cycle and provide support for existing products.
•Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, engineering drawings, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.
•Stay updated with the latest advancements in cleaning technology, materials science, and relevant engineering fields to drive continuous innovation.
•Participate in intellectual property activities, including patent applications and technical disclosures.
•Ensure all designs and development activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations (e.g., UL, CE, ISO).
Requirements
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
•3+ years of experience in research and development, preferably within the commercial cleaning equipment, industrial machinery, or a similar manufacturing sector.
•Proven experience in designing and developing products with mechanical, electrical, and software integration.
•Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) for mechanical design and simulation tools.
•Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal fabrication), and assembly techniques.
•Experience with motor control, battery management systems, sensor integration, and embedded systems programming (e.g., C/C++ for microcontrollers) is highly desirable.
•Familiarity with industry standards and regulations applicable to cleaning equipment (e.g., safety, EMC, performance).
•Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
•Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork abilities to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
•Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
