Department: Technology Development Support, Floorcare
Nilfisk is looking for a Simulation Engineer with strong skills in both CFD and structural/strength analysis to support the development of advanced technologies for floorcare machines. You will work closely with global R&D teams to analyze airflow, pressure, thermal behaviour, mechanical stress, and structural performance of key components.
Perform CFD simulations (airflow, pressure drop, turbulence, thermal flow) for floorcare modules.
Conduct structural/strength analysis (FEA) on mechanical components and assemblies.
Support design teams with simulation-based optimization and technical recommendations.
Build simulation models, validate results, and document findings in clear engineering reports.
Collaborate with CAD engineers and testing teams to correlate simulations with physical results.
Contribute to technology development projects across multiple product lines.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Aerospace, or similar.
Hands-on experience with CFD tools (OpenFOAM, Ansys Fluent, Star-CCM+, or equivalent).
Experience with FEA tools (Ansys Mechanical, Abaqus, or similar).
Understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, mechanical strength, and material behaviour.
Ability to interpret simulation results and translate findings into design improvements.
Good English communication skills and willingness to work in global teams.
