What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver products to customer job sites
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Load, transport, and discharge concrete in a safe and efficient manner
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, batch plant personnel, and customers to ensure accurate deliveries
- Uphold company safety standards and represent Heidelberg Materials professionally at all times
What Are We Looking For
- Demonstrated ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly
- Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements and a strong understanding of DOT regulations
- Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential issues, and take appropriate action
- Dependability, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety
- Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
