About This Role
We're looking for an experienced Android Engineer to take full ownership of Pacaso's Android application. This is a high-impact IC role where you'll shape the technical direction of our mobile experience, working on features that directly drive our business forward.
As the sole Android engineer, you'll have the autonomy to make architectural decisions, implement new features end-to-end, and establish patterns that will scale as we grow. You'll collaborate closely with our iOS engineer, product, and design teams while maintaining full ownership of the Android codebase.
This role is positioned as the technical lead for Android, with the opportunity to grow into a Principal Engineer. For the right candidate with exceptional experience, we're open to hiring directly at the Principal level. We're looking for a passionate, self-driven IC who thrives with ownership - not someone seeking a people management track.

Our Android app is built on a modern, well-architected foundation: 100% Kotlin, ~95% Jetpack Compose, Coroutines and Flows for reactive programming, single-activity architecture, Hilt for DI, Room for local persistence, and Retrofit for networking.
