Lead of e-Commerce Operation

 

As the Lead of e-Commerce Operation, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our operational strategy within the D2C & EC Enablement business unit. You will oversee end-to-end operations across key platforms including Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, ensuring timely execution of store setups and campaigns while driving efficiency through process innovation. Reporting to the Head of Department, you will lead a high-performing operations team, build robust operational frameworks, and ensure that all D2C business operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to identify inefficiencies and resolve bottlenecks in the workflow.
  • Oversee daily store health, seller ratings, penalty points, and customer service metrics on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop to ensure full compliance with platform policies.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the operations team to ensure all product listings, store decorations, and campaign setups are completed strictly on time, holding members accountable for deadlines.
  • Develop operational calendars aligned with major sales events (e.g., 9.9, 11.11, Payday) and coordinate with warehouse/logistics teams to ensure accurate stock levels and prompt order dispatch.
  • Coordinate with platform relationship managers (KAMs) for campaign slots and work closely with Account Management and Creative teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare regular reports for the Department Head, and continuously optimize the fulfillment process to reduce turnaround time and error rates.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., for copywriting, design, or data analysis) to automate repetitive tasks, speed up time-to-market, and foster a mindset of continuous process improvement.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (or related field) with at least 5 years of operations management experience, preferably in e-commerce or D2C.
  • Proven track record in Malaysian e-commerce operations, specifically Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage deadlines, train teams, and delegate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic analytical mindset capable of identifying issues quickly and building scalable frameworks for growth.
  • Proficiency in AI tools and operational management software.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for articulating complex ideas to senior management and partners.
