As a Senior Automation QA, you will play a role in ensuring the quality and integrity of both automated and manual test cases. Your primary responsibility will be to define and validate test scenarios, manage risks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure our quality, driving excellence in our project outcomes.

What you´ll do
1. Acts as a quality reference across multiple teams, ensuring consistent application of quality practices in complex initiatives.
2. Leads quality planning for large or cross-team initiatives, embedding quality from early design stages.
3. Designs and evolves test approaches for complex, integrated, and high-risk systems.
4. Drives expansion and maintenance of automated test coverage for critical flows and shared services.
5. Identifies systemic quality risks and leads mitigation actions across teams and products.
6. Influences technical and product decisions by representing quality, testability, and reliability perspectives.
7. Defines and monitors quality metrics for complex systems, ensuring visibility of risks and improvement areas.
8. Coordinates quality practices across squads working on shared systems or dependencies.
9. Leads improvement initiatives in testing practices, tools, and processes for complex environments.                                                                 
10. Acts as a technical authority on advanced QA topics, supporting complex problem-solving and design discussions.

How you´ll do
1) Participates in Agile ceremonies by sharing quality considerations based on executed tests and current scope.
2) Applies test techniques (exploratory, regression, integration, non-functional) with minimal guidance, adjusting depth based on risk.
3) Uses automation pragmatically, prioritizing stable and high-value scenarios and maintaining existing tests proactively.
4) Analyzes defects beyond symptoms, identifying root causes and communicating impact clearly to Product and Engineering.
5) Engages actively in Agile ceremonies, raising quality concerns and proposing concrete improvements.
6) Prioritizes testing work based on agreed goals, deadlines, and risk, adjusting focus when priorities change.
7) Seeks feedback on testing approaches and incorporates learnings into daily work.
8) Collaborates closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to clarify acceptance criteria and edge cases.
9) Maintains high standards for quality while working within constraints, escalating risks when needed.
10) Demonstrates ownership for quality outcomes within their scope and follows through on commitments.
