 Job Summary:  
The International Business Development Manager, International Accounts supports the company’s international growth strategy by managing relationships with foreign government and military stakeholders as well as developing and executing regional and partner-specific business development and sales plans. Operating at the intersection of business development, government engagement, and technical solution alignment, the International Business Development Manager will develop solutions for our international customer needs that result in revenue-generating opportunities.  

The International Business Development Manager will manage a portfolio of international accounts while coordinating closely with internal engineering, product, policy, and program teams to support opportunity development and capture. This role requires an experienced, self-motivated professional capable of navigating international defense markets, export control frameworks, and government acquisition environments. 

This position is an individual contributor within the international growth team and is expected to lead international engagements and represent the company as the primary account lead for assigned markets.  There will be ample opportunity to assume greater managerial responsibilities quickly depending on individual performance and corporate growth. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a portfolio of international government and defense accounts, building trusted relationships with foreign military, defense ministry, and acquisition stakeholders. 
  • Support international growth campaigns through opportunity shaping, pipeline development, and capture support. 
  • Engage directly with foreign government customers and industry partners to understand operational requirements and align them with company capabilities. 
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with international partners, integrators, and channel organizations supporting market access. 
  • Coordinate with engineering, product, and program teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and product capabilities. 
  • Represent the company in international engagements including customer meetings, demonstrations, and defense exhibitions. 
  • Support pursuit and proposal development for international opportunities including Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and U.S. Security Cooperation programs administered through DSCA. 
  • Navigate export control and licensing requirements, including ITAR, in coordination with internal compliance and legal teams. 
  • Maintain awareness of international defense market dynamics, acquisition programs, and regional security priorities. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, international relations, defense studies, business, or a related field. 
  • 8+ years of experience with 5+ of those years in defense, aerospace, government, or national security environments with exposure to international programs. 
  • Experience engaging with foreign government or military stakeholders in support of defense technology programs. 
  • Working familiarity with U.S. export control frameworks including ITAR, and experience supporting international defense sales or cooperation programs. 
  • Experience supporting or navigating Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), or Security Cooperation / DSCA processes. 
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage senior military, government, and industry stakeholders. 
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of complex international opportunities. 
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain. 
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30%. 

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Proven experience leading international defense business development, capture, or account management efforts. 
  • Prior military or government service supporting defense acquisition, security cooperation, or international programs. 
  • Experience working with defense attaché offices, security cooperation organizations, or embassy teams. 
  • Familiarity with operational defense systems such as air defense, counter-UAS, electronic warfare, sensors, or integrated defense architectures. 
  • Experience supporting international demonstrations, exercises, or operational evaluations. 
  • Active TS/SCI clearance. 

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:  

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
