POSITION TITLE: ERP & CRM Technical Instructor (SAP & Salesforce)

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO: Director, Alumni Technical Training

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Per Scholas is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient ERP/CRM Technical Instructor and Domain Lead to serve as the primary subject matter expert and instructional manager for our SAP and Salesforce training programs. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in both SAP and Salesforce ecosystems to deliver advanced instruction, upskill learners, and strategically mentor and oversee other instructors in these domains. This role is pivotal in ensuring the high quality and success of our learners in the SAP and Salesforce tracks.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (Roles and Responsibilities)

The ERP/CRM Technical Instructor and Domain Lead's core responsibilities blend expert-level technical instruction with leadership and management of the instructional team.

Technical Instruction & Curriculum Delivery

  • Lead instructor-led training for the SAP Back-End Developer - ABAP Cloud track, preparing learners for careers in SAP development.
  • Teach and upskill learners in other courses within the ERP domain, with a focus on the SAP ecosystem.
  • Provide specialized training on core technical duties, including system configuration, business process automation, and system integration within SAP environments.
  • Upskill and lead instructor-led training for the Salesforce Platform Administration track, preparing learners for careers as Salesforce Administrators.

Instructor Oversight and Management

  • Oversee or Manage all Tier 1 site instructors in your domain, providing expert guidance and mentorship to more junior instructional staff.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new instructional staff hires in your domain.
  • Manage all IAs (Instructional Assistants) and Teaching Fellows in your domain, including task delegation and performance guidance.
  • Serve as Tier 2 Technical Support for all instructional staff, troubleshooting advanced classroom technology and system issues.
  • Manage classroom technology systems, including Active Directory, PFSense, and the Ticketing System, to ensure an optimal learning environment.
  • Support as a substitute Instructor or chapter/concept SME (Subject Matter Expert) when necessary.
  • Liaise between management and instructional staff to ensure clear communication and alignment of program goals.

Data & Performance Management

  • Provide instruction on how to build, maintain, and secure complex reports and dashboards to track both Program KPIs (e.g., survey data, service efficiency) and Instructor Metrics (e.g., training completion, certification rates).
  • Maintain and update Salesforce and/or our LMS with learner grades, certification scores, and detailed case notes when applicable, applying data management and data integrity skills to internal records.
  • Perform daily instruction, assessment administration, attendance monitoring, and continuous evaluation of individual student progress.

REQUIRED SKILL SETS

  • Domain Expertise: Deep Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in both SAP and Salesforce ecosystems.
    • SAP: Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, ABAP Cloud, and other components of the SAP ecosystem.
    • Salesforce: Familiarity with Salesforce Platform Administration, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other Salesforce products.
  • Technical & Integration:
    • SAP: Expertise in SAP system configuration, development, and integration.
    • Salesforce: Familiarity with Salesforce configuration (workflows, custom objects, reporting, user permissions) and Business Process Automation (Flows, Process Builder).
  • Instructional & Leadership Skills:
    • Exceptional instructional skills with a proven ability to convey highly technical subject matter to adult learners.
    • Demonstrated experience in overseeing, mentoring, and managing other instructors.
  • Data & Analytics: Strong foundation in data management, integrity, and security principles. 
  • Certification: Formal certification in SAP (e.g., SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP or equivalent).

PREFERRED SKILL SETS

  • Formal certification in Salesforce (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator).
  • Professional background in Business Analysis, Systems Integration, or Project Management for enterprise technical implementations in both SAP and Salesforce environments.
  • Experience with the integration of SAP and Salesforce with other enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with technical and compliance standards for customer and employee data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in administering, developing, or instructing on enterprise-level ERP (e.g., SAP) or CRM (e.g., Salesforce) systems.
  • Documented experience with curriculum development and implementation, and managing technical instruction for adult learners.

Compensation

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
