Engineering Manager - Cloud SIEM, CyberSecurity

Your responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of skilled software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Professional Growth: Create an environment that promotes the professional and personal growth of each engineer on the team.
- Talent Management: Hire, develop, and retain a strong team of engineers.
- Feature Development: Partner with Product Management and Design to execute feature development and deliver new features with an excellent user experience.
- Technical Vision: Collaborate with product management, architects, and other engineering teams to define the technical vision and roadmap for the team.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and reliable cloud-based SOAR solutions, ensuring high standards of software quality and performance.
- Industry Awareness: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in cloud security and SIEM technologies, driving continuous improvement and innovation to keep SumoLogic at the forefront of the industry.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work effectively with Ops/SRE and customer success teams to ensure timely responses and resolutions to customer escalations and production issues.
- Technical Expertise: Become an expert in core Sumo Logic technologies, including CyberSecurity, Python, AWS, and service-oriented architectures.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate technical matters to stakeholders outside of engineering, including customers.
Your qualifications
- Leadership and Management Experience: Over 2 years of experience in building and leading teams, including hiring, retaining, and managing performance.
- Extensive Engineering Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in engineering and management.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong technical skills to effectively lead an engineering team.
- Composure Under Pressure: Ability to tackle challenges in demanding conditions and maintain composure under pressure.
- Organizational Skills: Well-organized and capable of collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver product features within tight schedules.
- Agile Development: Proficient in Agile development methodologies.
- SaaS and Cloud Expertise: Experience in delivering SaaS services within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: Preferred expertise in cybersecurity-related products like SIEM and SOAR.
- Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, microservices, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
- Educational Background: B.Tech, M.Tech, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline.
