Overview: 

The Data Quality Team is dedicated to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data across all operational processes within S&P Global. Our mission is to implement robust data quality practices that align with our organizational goals of Accuracy, Timeliness, and Comprehensiveness. As a leader in this team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration across departments to enhance data quality and drive continuous improvement.

The Impact: 

In this role, you will be instrumental in upholding and advancing data quality standards across our datasets. You will conduct comprehensive data quality assessments, identify and resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective measures to ensure our data consistently meets the highest benchmarks. Leveraging your analytical expertise, you will deliver actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and support continuous data quality improvement. You will also lead quality enhancement initiatives and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Data Operations, Quality, and key business stakeholders—to ensure data integrity is maintained at every stage. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive data quality improvement strategies and frameworks that align with organisational goals. 

  • Oversee data quality assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to quality standards. 

  • Analyze VOC, trends and make them part of the quality framework audits to strengthen the quality that matters most to our clients.  

  • Analyze data quality metrics and trends, providing insights to the management for informed decision-making. 

  • Partners closely across stakeholders (Ops/Stewards/Customer Success) to design effective quality solutions for client impact 

  • Understand automation roadmap/tools used in data collection, partner to pivot data quality efforts to ensure upto pace with collection automation 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovative approaches to data quality management. 

  • Maintain and enhance data quality documentation, including policies, procedures, and process maps. 

  • Develop training programs and train resources to enhance team capabilities and promote best practices in data quality. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data quality management, including generative AI tools Spark Assist. 

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data quality tools and methodologies, providing guidance to team members. 

  • Prepare and present updates and retrospectives to stakeholders on data quality initiatives and outcomes. 

  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions aligning to VOC. 

  • Manage the Content Feedback Program and review client cases to enhance data accuracy and refine processes. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • A full-time MBA or postgraduate degree in a relevant field is preferred. 

  • Strong understanding of data quality concepts, frameworks, and best practices. 

  • Proficiency in data quality tools and techniques, with experience in SQL and data analysis. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Familiarity with reporting and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset. 

  • A proactive approach to change management and the ability to adapt to evolving priorities. 

  • A passion for mentoring and developing talent within the team. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor's or Master’s in Business Management preferred with tech skills 

Prior experience in handling Data Quality projects and various quality improvements
