Overview

Our Finance team is a diverse, collaborative, and hardworking group, and we’re looking for a Year End Management Accountant to join us on a 3–6 month fixed-term contract. This role provides critical support during a busy period, as several team members step into project work across the first half of the year — coinciding with year-end and audit.

You’ll play a key part in maintaining smooth day-to-day operations, taking ownership of month-end reporting, year-end tasks, audit preparation, and a range of analysis and ad hoc work. It’s an excellent opportunity to bring your expertise into a fast-paced environment and make a tangible impact.

Location: 2 days per week in our North Acton office, with the remainder working from home.

What You Will Do

  • Lead month end reporting for designated markets

  • Own balance sheet reviews and follow-up actions

  • Review the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and consistency

  • Produce cashflow reporting and support forecasting as needed

  • Deliver key year end tasks in line with deadlines

  • Support the audit process — managing queries, preparing audit schedules, and ensuring information is accurate and complete

  • Partner with the Senior Management Accountant and Financial Controller on ad hoc tasks

  • Provide support across the wider Finance team, which may include time in Accounts Receivable or Commercial Finance

  • Contribute to project activity where required

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience working in a busy finance team, ideally within a retail or multi-channel environment

  • A qualification in accounting (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), though strong relevant experience will also be considered

  • Confident working to monthly reporting deadlines

  • Hands-on experience with year-end and audit processes

  • Comfortable working with multi-currency accounts

  • A friendly, open communicator with strong attention to detail and a forensic approach when needed

  • Flexible and resilient in a role where priorities may shift

  • A collaborative team player with a commitment to high-quality work

  • Able to pick up new tasks quickly and deliver them accurately

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary & targeted annual bonus scheme.

  • Generous Boden clothing allowance!

  • 30% discount on all current clothing ranges.

  • 25 days Holiday annually, plus Bank Holidays.

  • Online Portal with an array of discounts on retail & entertainment.

  • Virtual GP Service for you and your household!

  • Free onsite parking and subsidised café.

We want Boden to be the place everyone wants to work. Friendly, open and tolerant. A best-of-British company with diverse teams, equal opportunities, and fair working and recruitment practices. We believe in hiring the best person for the job, whoever they are, helping them thrive in it and celebrating their individuality.

We would like to encourage people from a diverse range of backgrounds to apply for our roles. If you need any reasonable adjustments or additional support during your application process, please do not hesitate to let us know.
