Job Overview

The IT Workplace Services Specialist provides comprehensive technical support to ING employees, addressing hardware and application-related incidents and requests. This role involves ensuring the proper setup and functionality of IT equipment, managing and prioritizing incidents for timely resolution, and minimizing operational disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support:

  • Provide end-to-end technical support to end-users to address hardware (laptops, printers, other IT peripherals) and application incidents and requests.
  • Ensure all IT equipment is appropriately set up and functioning for ING employees.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.

Stewardship and Security Compliance:

  • Assist in managing inventory and track the lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring timely replacement when necessary.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols and policies to safeguard IT assets and data.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in cross functional projects to enhance overall IT operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency measures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues.

Knowledge Sharing:

  • Stay informed about industry best practices and new technology to enhance overall quality of workplace experience and IT services in ING.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users to enhance their IT proficiency.

Key Capabilities/Experience

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong knowledge of IT hardware (laptops, printers, peripherals) and enterprise applications.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, with a focus on end-user support.
  • Experience in managing IT incidents, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely resolution.

IT Asset Management:

  • Experience in tracking and managing IT equipment lifecycle, ensuring proper inventory control.
  • Familiarity with asset replacement schedules and proactive equipment maintenance.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear interaction with both technical and non-technical users.
  • Experience conducting end-user training and workshops to enhance IT skills and knowledge.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance IT service delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve complex technical issues and implement innovative solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience in a similar capacity. Knowledge in IT Operations.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in setting up and troubleshooting IT equipment and applications. Knowledge in IT infra and IT Service Management processes is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify potential risk and develop effective solutions to mitigate them.
  • Customer Service: Distinct customer-oriented behavior (ability to communicate and to lead/work in a team)
