Position Summary
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of mission-critical facilities including R&D labs, and offices. Ensures safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of all facility systems, security, and services in compliance with company standards, budget, and regulatory requirements. Leads facility projects, vendor management, and team operations while fostering strong collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of facilities and equipment.
- Oversee vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with SLAs, KPIs, and cost targets.
- Manage facility budgets, capital expenditures, and cost-control initiatives.
- Lead facility-related projects including construction, equipment installation, and maintenance.
- Establish and improve operating procedures for daily operations, repair, and projects.
- Develop strong relationships with internal customers, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Communicate objectives, service levels, and expectations clearly across teams.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks; escalate issues when necessary with solutions.
- Support Environment, Health & Safety programs (e.g., chemical safety, evacuation drills, PPE).
- Provide leadership in team management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of responsible experience in facilities or operations management.
- Proven supervisory and leadership experience managing multiple functions and professionals.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, project management, and payback analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Experience managing vendors, contracts, and service performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
- Experience in optoelectronics, semiconductor, automotive, or high-tech manufacturing.
- Knowledge of advanced R&D lab facilities.
- Construction project management experience (full project lifecycle, budget, and timeline control).
- Strong English communication skills to engage across all levels of management.
