About the role

We have an exciting new position available for a Communications Manager to join our Workplace Solutions business. This team focus on delivering Hargreaves Lansdown’s (HL’s) workplace solutions, such as our pension scheme, to employers and driving-up engagement with their employees. You will be reporting to the Head of Workplace Business Creation and Marketing.

Your role as the Workplace Communications Manager will be to create engaging marketing materials to help employees make the most of their pension.

  • Writing engaging communications?
  • Creating engaging emails and presentations?
  • Being creative and motivated with the ability to think strategically and implement with a hands-on attitude?
  • Demonstrating excellent attention to detail?

What you’ll be doing

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Promoting HL Workplace to employees by creating engaging marketing emails, flyers and posters.
  • Writing communications in the client’s branding and tone of voice, to be sent out internally by a workplace client to their employees
  • Encouraging employees to sign up for on-site presentations and 1-2-1 meetings hosted by a HL Financial Wellbeing Specialist
  • Creating launch emails and guides for new workplace pension schemes.
  • Writing servicing messages and automatic enrolment emails.
  • Using HL tone of voice to create factsheets, guides and articles.
  • Ensuring communications are compliant and technically accurate.
  • Working with colleagues at different levels across the business, including Graphic Designers, Client Relationship Managers, Workplace Financial Wellbeing Specialists and the financial promotions Compliance team.

About you

Ideally, we are looking for a Communications Manager to have experience in the following areas:

  • Excellent written communications skills
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail
  • Work independently or collaboratively within a team environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience of writing emails and letters to clients, explaining complicated topics in jargon-free English would be an advantage for this role

Interview process

The interview process will include two stages, with competency-based interview questions.

Working schedule

This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. Based in our Bristol office (BS1 5HL), the role will be hybrid working with at least three days in the office per week.
