POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Information Technology (IT) is searching for a Workday Reporting Analyst to join the HR Technology Solutions and Analytics (HR Tech) team. HR Tech collaborates closely with Penn State HR, Payroll, and Faculty Affairs to manage, optimize, and enhance the university’s HR Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms, including Workday, Cornerstone (LRN), Neocase (WorkLion), and ColdFusion development. Additionally, the team delivers reporting, people analytics, survey design, training, and analytical support for all HR initiatives.

The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States, standard working hours are in the eastern time zone.

As a Workday Reporting Analyst, you will:

  • Design, create, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and alerts
  • Ensure data accuracy through testing and validation
  • Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams on reporting needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues
  • Support system enhancements and feature releases
  • Conduct audits and monitor report usage
  • Optimize existing reports and dashboards for performance and usability
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with University standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience with configuring and troubleshooting Workday reports, calculated fields, scheduled reports, alerts, and dashboards
  • Familiarity with testing, validation, and auditing
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality when handling sensitive data

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience with Workday Discovery Boards, Worksheets, or Slides
  • Education or experience in HR
  • Familiarity with data visualization and basic statistics
  • Experience training users or developing resources
  • Experience with developing and documenting governance standards

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $68,200.00 - $102,300.00.
