Workday Associate Director, Payroll, Time Tracking/ABS, Benefits and Security

The Associate Director, Workday Payroll, Time, Absence, Benefits & Security oversees operationally critical Workday modules that drive accurate pay, secure system access, and compliant benefit administration. This role leads a team focused on delivering operational excellence, risk mitigation, and employee enablement. It requires deep understanding of payroll processes, benefits integrations, and Workday security models.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee design and configuration of Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Benefits, and Security Administration in Workday.
• Lead a team of Workday analysts responsible for ensuring pay, leave, and benefits operations are accurate, timely, and compliant.
• Serve as the primary Workday security architect, ensuring appropriate role-based access, audit readiness, and SOD controls.
• Collaborate with Payroll Operations, Finance, Benefits, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure aligned delivery of Workday capabilities.
• Manage payroll-related integrations and ensure alignment between time, absence, and payroll modules.
• Lead incident triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement across assigned modules.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, audit, and internal policy requirements related to benefits and payroll system administration.
• Champion new Workday release features, drive adoption, and assess operational impacts.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of HRIS experience, with at least 5 years focused on Payroll, Time, Absence, Benefits, or Security.
• Hands-on experience in at least two of the following: Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Security.
• Proven track record leading functional teams and managing complex system configurations.
• Workday Pro Certifications in relevant modules are a strong plus.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders including payroll, benefits, IT security, and compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to drive process optimization and system reliability.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $136,800 - $242,000

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
