About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Officer to join the Faculty of Medicine Health and Human Sciences. Working collaboratively within the Faculty’s WIL team and key academic staff, you’ll play a key role in coordinating the delivery of high-quality student placements and work integrated learning activities, including clinical placements, internships, volunteering and Co-op opportunities.
Reporting to the Work Integrated Learning Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of placement activities, maintaining compliance with legislative, regulatory and institutional requirements, and fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external placement partners.

You are an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience coordinating and administering student placements and work integrated learning programmes in a higher education setting. You take pride in maintaining accuracy under pressure, managing multiple priorities and adapting to change in a fast-paced academic setting.
Your strong communication and relationship management skills allow you to engage confidently with students, staff, and external partners, always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. You thrive on delivering a positive and efficient experience for all stakeholders involved in placement activities.

Tertiary qualification in business, management, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and experience in coordinating student placements and work integrated learning programmes, including monitoring student progression, managing compliance , administrating process improvement, and providing accurate advice and information
Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to students, staff, and external partners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and accuracy in a complex and changing environment.
Demonstrated experience supporting placements in a health or clinical setting, with the ability to be responsive to changing policies and processes.
Strong time management and organisational skills, with experience coordinating and delivering outcomes to competing deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems, and the ability to quickly learn new software and platforms. Experience with SONIA is desirable.
