Job description Summary
The Operations Support Intern role is part of a fast-paced team which is accountable for effectively managing a large volume of transactions including journal entry processing, work on carrier, wholesaler onboarding, data input, tracking management for broker reviews.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, validate and issue manual invoices
- Process and issue Notices
- Data input into Enhanced as required
- Audit bank accounts
- Convert contracts when needed
- Validate checks as required
- Adhoc requests
- Manage fax queue (labeling and assigning)
- Update spreadsheets and other reports
- Adhere to approved processes and audit requirements
- Notify brokers on credits and returned/undeliverable mails
- Assist other team members as required
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Required:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous financial processing and/or administration experience
- Strong organizational, prioritization and abstract reasoning skills
- A proactive, energetic and enthusiastic approach to your work, and a desire to go the extra mile in customer service
- The ability to build strong relationships with team members and internal and external customers
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
- A flexible attitude towards change and the ability to adapt to new situations
- Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and MS Word
- French is an asset
Training / Education / Experience Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Administrative duties practices and procedures
- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office software
