Provides supervision and oversight for the public entry weapons screening program, ensuring contracted staff adhere to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and departmental policies. Reports directly to the Assistant Director of Security.
Provides leadership and oversight for the public entry screening program, specifically supervising contracted personnel responsible for weapons detection at designated entry points. This role supports the Medical Center’s commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all patients, visitors and staff by ensuring effective weapons detection operations and adherence to established protocols. Ensures that all contracted staff adhere to the policies and procedures of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and the Department of Security. Follows up on incidents to proactively reduce liability risks, supports training and quality assurance efforts, and maintains accountability for operational standards and budget compliance by auditing timekeeping invoices. Acts as the primary liaison between the department and contracted staff, ensuring effective communication and performance alignment. Must be willing to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
