Direct or coordinate production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety. Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage warehouse operations and shipments for BL-Crosslinkers ( Includes: analytical reporting of warehouse storage, handling, and shipping costs for onsite and all 3rd party warehouses. Responsible for the selection and start-up of qualified outside third party warehouse locations to store, handle, and service BU customer orders and determining production requirements by reviewing inventory, customer orders, and Sales & Production Plans. Assist Plant Superintendents with production planning to meet inventory requirements for each month)
- Implement, set-up and manage Bulk Terminal stations for Crosslinker products to reduce transportation costs and improve speed, quality, and service to customers by working with Corporate Logistics on carrier selection and negotiations. Implement projects to reduce freight costs and improve quality of products and services.
- Performs warehousing market analysis to lower warehousing costs. Track and audit warehouse billing for accuracy including rate negotiations and handling high value inventories. Responsible for maintaining material masters and setting up required BOM’s and Recipes for new products. Supports Quality manager on maintaining inspection views in material master
- Support site Logistics on quarterly Carrier meetings. Review all NCR or variances for cause and corrective actions. Visit and audit carrier terminals/operations for BL-Crosslinkers.
- Provide logistics and bulk transportation support for BL-Crosslinkers and off-site customer locations. Review and update Customer delivery profiles for bulk transportation setups, equipment specifications and storage requirements. Supports month-end & physical inventories processes. Conducts third party external inventory audits and visits.
- Analyze monitors and procure raw materials required for the production plan in Mobile. Lead monthly conference calls with NAFTA and Germany on raw material requirements for BL-Crosslinkers. Ensures products and processes are in compliance with EPA, ADEM, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
- Manages Mobile Supply Chain activities and inventories including all fleet equipment maintenance (rail cars, tank trailers, IBC-cylinders, etc.) for Crosslinkers to ensure continuous operation of plants in Mobile and bulk storage inventories. Manage all shipping activities in Crosslinkers Plants (i.e. direct live loads and stock transfer shipments). Establish and support min/max inventory levels to support product distribution and reduce net working capital.
- Maintain and implement packaging required for Crosslinkers products to deliver quality products to customers. Investigates and resolves all packaging complaints and issues. Investigates and responds to customer related complaints on transportation and packaging issues and completes corrective measures to prevent reoccurrences in SRM Complaint Management system for customer feedback
- Assists Production Specialists & Maintenance Coordinators in maintenance scheduling of area Tank Farms and packaging equipment and as necessary with special projects and process initiatives, as well as start-up and shut-down planning.
- Support and participate in yearly physical inventories activities, including cycle counts for site and 3rd Party Warehouses.
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or similar required
- 5+ years experience in Supply Chain Management strongly preferred
- Ability to lead and manage effectively required
- Knowledge of equipment, processes, and workflow processes
- Knowledge of SAP for maintaining Material Master, BOM's, etc. required
- Knowledge of Material Management, Warehouse Management, Bulk Transportation & Storage, and Production Planning
- Must be able to maintain DOT certifications (HM175) for shipping hazardous chemicals
