Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing specialized warehouse functions including loading, unloading, material handling, order pulling, shipping, returns, counter support, fabrication support, and general warehouse activities. This role may work across multiple warehouse departments and supports daily operational tasks to ensure materials are properly stored, staged, and prepared for field installation or production.

Essential Functions

  • Perform tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, staging, stocking, fabrication assistance, and transporting materials.

  • Load and unload materials to/from designated storage locations (racks, shelves, or vehicles).

  • Stack, move, and organize materials such as lumber, flooring, palletized product, cabinets, countertops, or other construction-related products.

  • Install protective devices (strapping, bracing, padding, blocking) to prevent product damage during movement and transportation.

  • Verify inventory counts and physical stock to ensure material accuracy.

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure product is stored in correct locations.

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices; promote safe behaviors with peers.

  • Receive and fill material requests for field installers, subcontractors, or internal teams.

  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or company vehicles as authorized.

  • May assist with delivery or pick up of materials as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of 1 year warehouse, distribution, or materials handling experience

Preferred:

  • Forklift experience and/or certification

  • Knowledge of warehouse tools, equipment, and machinery used in loading, staging, and fabrication environments

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and complete assigned tasks timely

  • Basic math and inventory counting abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with physical materials

  • Ability to work in a fast‐paced warehouse environment

  • Ability to lift, move, or handle materials as required
