About the role:

The Warehouse Team Leader will ensure all areas of the warehouse function are structured to support timely dispatch of customer orders, ensuring compliance with customers’ requirements and working to the standards set out by the company policies and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations. Analyzing data to drive continuous improvement. Organizing training to ensure the team have the required skills to meet the demand of the operation.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

  • To lead the team carrying out all aspects of warehouse processes: Goods In, Pick, Pack, and dispatch process as per our quality standards and the customers’ requirements
  • Internal/external complaints resolution
  • Adhere to data protection
  • Address and resolve any HR issues that may arise from the team
  • Ensure effective ongoing communication within Amcare
  • Resolving order queries with Care Centre (CC) teams, Purchasing Department and/or Customer Interaction Centre (CIC) team
  • Using PC (MS Office) and hand scanner for the processing of orders
  • Support Associate Warehouse Manager in delivering Continuous Improvement projects within the Department
  • Ensures adherence to the Quality Management Standards
  • Ensures adherence to the EHS standards, Policies and Procedures
  • Ensuring the warehouse is always clean and tidy, including equipment and working areas
  • Lead the team in the stocktaking and cycle counting processes
  • Manage the administration of holidays with knowledge of the capacity plan
  • Performance management of team using performance monitoring tools and data
  • Identify and arrange training for the department
  • Plan and allocate rota
  • To ensure team follow all procedures
  • Manage administration of holidays, sicknesses, disciplinary and investigations
  • Support periodic reviews such as one to one, mid-year and end of year interviews
  • To perform any reasonable request from line management including providing cover in other departments when required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to O’Level / GCSE standard
  • Experience in a similar working environment
  • Computer literacy skills including MS Office
  • People management skills
  • Work as part of a team
  • The ability to prioritize workload
  • The ability to take direction and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication/ listening skills
  • Understand and evaluate risk management
  • Computer literate including all MS Office programs

Qualifications/Education:

  • Educated to O’Level / GCSE standard
  • Computer literacy skills including MS Office.

Travel Requirements:

  • The position may involve occasional travel. Most trips will include overnight travel.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based in the UK with an onsite working structure.
  • Must be able to maintain and be responsible for a clean and safe working environment complying with the companies EHS policy. Where appropriate safety shoes/boots, hats and clothing must be worn.

  • Must be flexible in working hours and work schedules to meet business demands.
