Warehouse Supervisor

Fort Madison, Iowa Full time
Reporting to the First Shift Warehouse Supervisor at our Fort Madison facility, local producers of Armour, Nalley, Van Camp’s, and Ranch Style, you will manage warehouse activities for incoming/outgoing shipments and a smooth flow of raw materials to the production lines. Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Oversee group of workers engaged in lifting, transporting and loading materials for shipment or storage. Oversee the processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment. Schedule work for special and periodic inventories. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.

How Will You Affect Our Business?

  • Coordinate warehousing operations and production needs.
  • Maintain loading, unloading, and scheduling of product or ingredients to meet plant and corporate goals.
  • Oversee shipping/receiving operations to provide efficient handling of raw materials and customer orders.
  • Establish and maintain warehousing rotation and hold programs.
  • Periodically audits inventory for accuracy and obsolete product.
  • Enforce the plant's safety program including good GMP's.
  • Monitor warehousing area and employees to eliminate work hazards and unsafe acts.
  • Monitor equipment, submit work orders for repairs, and recommend changes for safe operation.
  • Train individuals on safety procedures, specifically forklift and hand jack operation, loading and trailer operation.
  • Train, motivates, and monitors performance of warehousing employees. Recognize good performance and take corrective action when needed.
  • Manage programs to reduce cost through labor controls, damage reduction, implementation of new methods and tools to improve productivity.
  • This position will be responsible for providing direct oversight, administering discipline, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures across their respective teams.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • PC skills, to include Windows, Word, Excel and SAP.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • (How many years?) Previous experience in a food-processing, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is a plus
  • A self-motivated individual that can multi-task and lead others.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift hours and weekend coverage as needed

Compensation: 

Pay Range:$59,000-$78,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
