The Opportunity

Cochlear is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to manage the effective and efficient processing of customer orders—internal and external, through the EU distribution centre (EUDC), in line with service level agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), by leading a team of warehouse operatives.

The role also needs to ensure the operation meets all current EU legal, regulatory and quality standards (including country-specific business requirements) and adapts quickly to changes in regulations and standards.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Cochlear’s EUDC in Venlo, Netherlands.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the EMEA region, including Customer Service, to provide a positive customer experience, ensuring orders are picked and packed within set targets.
  • Oversee all orders to ensure accurate picking, checking, packing and shipping in accordance with agreed service levels and departmental KPIs.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in ensuring compliance with ISO13485 and EU standards for medical device handling and storage.
  • Monitor stock levels, report discrepancies, and support daily cycle counts.
  • Report on all aspects of operations, including service, and performance, for EMEA-wide activities.
  • Lead, manage, and support the warehouse team.
  • Oversee the receipt of all inbound goods, ensuring compliance with Cochlear procedures for medical devices and other products.
  • Ensure defined Warehouse Standards and Quality Management System Procedures and instructions are followed across the warehouse facility, including facilities procedures relating to the control of the environment.

About You:

Minimum:

  • Experience supervising/managing picking and packing operations in an EU/multi-country environment
  • Experience in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, including cross-cultural competence
  • Knowledge of management reporting techniques
  • Experience with lean principles
  • Experience with mobile device picking
  • Working knowledge of English

Ideal:

  • Knowledge of Oracle/SAP Inventory Management Modules
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and medical device standards in the EU
  • Fork-lift trained
  • Ability to speak other European languages
