The Role:

We are looking for our next Warehouse Operator - Bldg 332 within POLYOX™ operations. The Warehouse OperatorBldg 332 will be responsible for preparing finished product for shipment to warehouse, managing Building 332 operations, and drum shipments.  Additionally, this position is required to perform activities in the SAP module, manage inventory, forklift operation for material movements, and is a back-up for distribution activities at Building 74/warehouse operator.  The incumbents will also participate in all EH&S programs and initiatives as well as assisting to implement solutions.

This position is in Institute, WV.

Compensation:

The current hourly rate range for this role is estimated to be $22/hr – 25/hr (Annual straight time =  22 – 25). In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Bldg 332 operations with respect to material movements within facility
  • Backup warehouse operators at Plant/Building 74
  • Perform necessary SAP transactions to enable Bldg 332 operations
  • Demonstrate ability to be self-directed and work independently
  • Conform to plant safety and environmental policies, accepting responsibility for personal safety
  • Work in, and comply with, cGMP guidelines
  • Package, prepare, and load product for shipments as needed, based on demand
  • Assess shipment needs against production volume and organize material inventory as needed working with shipping coordinator
  • Load and unload product/packaging material through use of forklift
  • Application of proper package labeling and shipping documentation regarding D.O.T. requirements
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communication with other employees using multiple methods of communication
  • Participate in organization EH&S teams and initiatives to implement solutions and improvements
  • Maintain a high degree of motivation by being flexible, displaying good leadership, and being able to prioritize and make informed decisions to meet business requirements

What You’ll Need:

Education:          

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.

     

Experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience/education in distribution/warehouse operations
  • Knowledge of distribution/shipping D.O.T. requirements
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
  • Willing and able to: lift or move up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, ladders
  • Experience working in cGMP facility (preferred)

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use ladders, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments.  Employee must be able to wear a respirator (manufacturing only).
  • Willing and able to: lift or move up to 50 lbs

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position.  Currently, distribution operations occur across 2–8-hour shifts – 6:30A-2:30P and 2:30P-10:30P.  Candidate will be expected to work this schedule on alternating weeks.  Depending on demand, overtime may also be required.

Business Travel:

  • Limited to no business travel is expected for this position.
