What will you do?
Is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company’s warehouses. The mission is to ensure the efficient flow of materials, products, and resources within the warehouses, maintaining accurate inventories and complying with JCI standards of quality, safety and service level.
How will you do it?
- Inventory Management. Supervise and ensure the accuracy of inventory records by performing regular audits and ensuring proper storage and rotation of products.
- Logistics Operations. Lead and optimize the processes of receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching materials, ensuring optimal response times and cost reduction.
- Team leadership. Manage warehouse personnel, fostering a collaborative work environment, continue training, and high-performance levels.
- Quality and safety control. Implement and maintain procedures to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and industrial hygiene standards within the warehouses.
- Continuous Improvement. Identify opportunities for improvement in logistics and warehouse processes by using management tools and operational efficiency methodologies.
- Interdepartmental Relations. Collaborate with departments such as purchasing, production, and logistics to coordinate the supply and delivery of materials according to operational needs.
- Technology management. Oversee and promote the use of warehouse management system (WMS) and other technological tools to optimize operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field (MBA, postgraduate degree or APICS CLTD certification is a plus).
- 5 years of experience in a management position in either warehouse, logistics & traffic, shipping or materials superintendent within the automotive, manufacturing or metalworking industry.
- Strong background in planning, international logistics, inventory mgmn and ensure proper administration of warehouse operations, prioritizing safety and teamwork.
- Experience in advanced manufacturing environments and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a must
- Valid Visa and Passport is a must (Availability to travel)
- Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Maintain a positive work environment and contribute to the plant 5s metrics.
- Communication and coordination skills, result oriented.
