The Opportunity:
The mission of the Warehouse Assistant is to assist and ensure all outbound shipments are completed in an accurate, timely, cost effective manner. You will be an integral part of a warehouse team that is responsible for the fulfillment of Pela Case products shipping directly to our customers all over the world. In this position you will be highly accurate, proficient in shipping, order packing and warehousing practices, while being a self-starter who thrives in an environment of continuous improvement and problem-solving. Teamwork and the adaptability to pitch in where needed will be critical to your success. Working in a fast-paced environment and delivering on promises nurtures your soul. The days of work will include Saturday-Monday with an increasing schedule as we enter our peak season. There is flexibility in the hours needed.
Responsibilities:
- Pick, process and ship orders accurately, quickly and according to Pela's standards
- Assemble product packaging, prepare orders & labels for shipping
- Sort and organize stock in the warehouse with equipment and by hand
- Organize and prep daily shipments with each carrier
- Maintain warehouse including putting away stock, sweeping, organizing supplies, and garbage disposal
- Assist in inventory counts on finished good and packaging materials
- Receive incoming supplies and products
- Maintain a safe and clean workspace
- Ensure safe operation of all equipment, follow all protocols for warehouse safety
- Assist others as necessary
Qualifications & Skills:
- Ability to learn procedures and add efficiency to processes
- Warehouse experience is an asset
- Works well independently, a self-starter
- Knowledge of Google Suite and Ship Hero is preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
- Committed to quality, safety and communication
- Strong attention to detail and pride of workmanship
- A team-player who wants to participate in green business practices and promote a sustainable future
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively, more quickly and be on your feet for most of an 8-hour shift
- Forklift experience is an asset

Compensation range - USD $18-$21/hour
