Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to build, execute, and scale our partnership strategy for healthcare data, technology, distribution, and product ecosystems, spanning customer segments across healthcare, biopharma, government, advocacy, and consumers. This executive leader will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing high-impact partnerships that improve care for patients, accelerate business growth, expand market reach, enhance our data capabilities, and create new revenue streams. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with deal-making prowess, bringing deep expertise in partnership development across complex B2B environments. You will serve as the architect of our partnership ecosystem, building relationships that create mutual value, competitive advantage, and long-term strategic differentiation.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership Development
- Define and execute the company's partnership strategy aligned with overall business objectives and growth priorities
- Identify and prioritize high-value partnership opportunities across healthcare data, technology, distribution, and product ecosystems
- Build executive-level relationships with potential partners including healthcare, biopharma, technology, and advocacy
- Lead partnership opportunity assessment including strategic fit, business case development, and ROI modeling
- Develop partnership frameworks and playbooks that guide evaluation, negotiation, and activation
- Create long-term partnership roadmaps that evolve with company strategy and market dynamics
- Present partnership strategy and performance to board, executive team, and key stakeholders
- Monitor competitive landscape and emerging partnership trends to maintain strategic advantage

Data Strategy Partnerships
- Develop strategic data partnerships that enhance our data assets, coverage, and competitive positioning
- Identify and negotiate data acquisition agreements with third-party data providers, aggregators, and marketplaces
- Structure data exchange partnerships that create mutual value through bidirectional data sharing
- Lead partnerships focused on data enrichment, validation, and quality enhancement
- Develop data licensing agreements that monetize proprietary data assets and create new revenue streams
- Ensure all data partnerships comply with privacy regulations, data governance standards, and ethical guidelines

Technology Partnerships
- Build strategic technology partnerships that expand product capabilities, accelerate innovation, and improve customer value

Distribution & Channel Partnerships
- Build distribution partnerships that expand market reach and create new customer acquisition channels
- Structure co-selling partnerships with complementary solution providers and systems integrators
- Lead strategic alliances with industry leaders for joint go-to-market initiatives
- Build partnerships with industry associations, trade organizations, and professional networks
- Develop geographic expansion partnerships for international market entry
- Structure partner programs with clear economics, incentives, and performance metrics
Deal Structuring & Negotiation
- Lead complex partnership negotiations involving contracts, MSAs, SOWs, and SLAs
- Structure partnership economics including revenue sharing, licensing fees, commissions, and incentives
- Negotiate data rights, intellectual property, licensing terms, and usage restrictions
- Develop partnership terms that balance strategic value with financial sustainability
- Partner with legal, finance, and compliance teams to ensure proper contract governance
- Create deal approval frameworks and documentation standards for partnership agreements
- Manage contract lifecycle including amendments, renewals, and terminations
- Establish partnership governance including joint steering committees, business reviews, and escalation paths
- Negotiate service level agreements and define success metrics for partnership performance
- Build risk mitigation strategies including exit clauses, performance guarantees, and indemnification terms
Partnership Management & Optimization
- Own the end-to-end partnership lifecycle from identification through activation and optimization
- Build partner success programs that drive engagement, adoption, and mutual value realization
- Develop partnership health metrics and dashboards to monitor performance and identify risks
- Conduct regular business reviews with strategic partners to assess progress and alignment
- Create partner communication strategies and touchpoint cadences for executive and operational relationships
- Foster internal cross-functional collaboration to ensure partnership commitments are delivered
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
- Build and lead a growing partnerships team with expertise across partnership types and functions
- Develop team capabilities in business development, deal structuring, partner management, and operations
- Establish clear goals, KPIs, and accountability frameworks for partnership outcomes
- Manage partnerships budget including team costs, partner investments, and program expenses
- Partner with marketing, product, sales, legal, and finance teams on partnership execution
- Represent partnerships function in executive strategic planning and resource allocation discussions

People Manager
Education, Experience, and Skills
Required Experience
- 15+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances
- 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing partnership teams and strategy
- Proven track record negotiating and closing complex, high-value partnership deals ($10M+ in value)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: data partnerships, healthcare partnerships, biopharma partnerships, or technology partnerships
- Experience in B2B technology, data, SaaS, or platform businesses
- Strong background in deal structuring, contract negotiation, and partnership economics
- Demonstrated ability to build executive relationships and influence senior stakeholders
- Track record of partnerships that delivered measurable revenue, customer, or market impact

Work Environment
- This is a fully remote position. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools.
