VP, FP&A - Reporting, Analysis, and Validation

Role Summary/Purpose:

This role involves contributing to the preparation of earnings materials and various board deliverables, as well as analysis and validation activities related to externally facing documents. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing external communications and marketing content to ensure accuracy and consistency. Additionally, they will coordinate the governance framework for the HQ FP&A team ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cross-functional validation process and cadence for all earnings related materials and develop ad hoc analysis to support prevailing business and industry narratives.

  • Collaborate with Platforms and support functions to ensure that external communications and marketing content accurately reflect the latest financial and disclosure guidance.

  • Strengthen the validation procedures for critical company reports, including the financial supplement, earnings deck, press releases, and presentations to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team.

  • Foster partnership with cross functional teams to support the narrative and messaging for external communications

  • Propose ongoing enhancements to processes and models surrounding quarterly earnings and external disclosures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Support annual disclosure, reporting and investor presentations as required

  • Lead the development, creation and maintenance of the HQ FP&A team governance frameworks to ensure organizational compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Leverage automation techniques and artificial intelligence to streamline processes and strengthen controls

  • Performance of ad hoc financial analysis as required

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or in lieu of degree, 12 years equivalent experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in FP&A

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a financial modeling capacity.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Financial Services Industry experience

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally

  • Detail oriented, ability to create and maintain a well-controlled environment for external and internal reporting and modeling

  • Experience in developing and monitoring process governance

  • Advanced MS Excel skills with the ability to understand complex models and create business insights

  • Proficient MS PowerPoint ability with knowledge of templates and linked documents

  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills to work in a highly matrixed environment

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Effective project management skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders with potentially conflicting points of interest

Grade/Level: 13

                                                                      

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
