Position Summary:
Responsible for underwriting, business development, producer management and underwriting compliance of E&S Casualty in the Western Region. Underwrite both primary and excess layers, Segments include Specialty, Construction, and Energy.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Develop strong relationships with Wholesale producers to successfully manage regional business
Monitor/influence and consistently execute departmental underwriting strategies to develop and maintain a profitable book
Strong performance management skills
Strong customer service focus
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills in both internal and external interactions
Monitor and influence submission management, timely quoting, account retentions and thorough file compliance and documentation per Arch guidelines
Provide training and/or mentorship for junior members of the team
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong technical underwriting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effectively prioritize work with ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Education and Experience:
A minimum of 8-10 years of Casualty experience, preferably within the wholesale marketplace and with both primary and excess layers
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Risk Management

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$170,000 - $255,000 annual base salary
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
