Job Overview:

Joining as VP, Data Lakehouse and Reporting Manager, you will provide both technical leadership and people management for teams responsible for our Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse, and Data Distribution functions. This role will drive modernization and strategic solutions across on-premises and cloud architectures, leading efforts to migrate and optimize data platforms using AWS cloud services, Snowflake, and lakehouse architectures. You will collaborate closely with architecture and development teams to shape the strategic evolution of our data foundations program, ensuring scalability, performance, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, including data engineers and QA specialists, providing strategic direction, coaching, and career development

  • Provide technical leadership, architecture and engineering to technology teams based on business objectives and strategic direction for our Enterprise Data Warehouse and Distribution Groups

  • Engage in the design, architecture and scope discussions to frame the LPL Data Warehousing and Distribution approach across the broader Data Foundations program

  • Collaborate with other development teams, enterprise architecture and operations to design, develop and maintain on-premises and cloud-based platforms integrating CI/CD capabilities.

  • Lead engineering and technical design discussions with the development teams and monitor all agile ceremonies

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert to the broader development teams assisting with AWS services (Glue, Lambda, Event Bridge), Databases (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server), Big Data

  • Creates best practices for team members to follow to meet key objectives of the technology platform.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of related experience with 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex systems within a data warehouse and distribution functions

  • Demonstrated track record leading technical engineering and data teams, with proven success in managing complex projects and team performance

  • Proven expertise in IT architecture

  • Advanced experience with data platforms on premises and the cloud

  • 5+ years of experience working with Python, Spark framework (Pyspark or Scala)

  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS Cloud services Glue ETL, Lambda, Event Bridge, Airflow

  • 5+ years of experience working with Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, MapR and Hadoop databases

  • At least 1 project implementation experience in Snowflake.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field

Pay Range:

$142,388-$237,313/year


 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
