Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Voice Network Engineer I is responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of collaboration, video and telecommunication systems.  This individual may acquire, install or upgrade collaboration, video or telecommunications software and hardware, and troubleshoot these solutions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or Associate Degree in an Information Technology field plus three years of relevant work experience or four years of relevant work experience and a current industry or technology certification.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: Competency in networking in an enterprise environment for one or more of the following technologies:

  • Cisco Communications Manager
  • Cisco Contact Center Solutions
  • Cisco voice gateways
  • Cisco Collaboration and Video Solutions
  • AVAYA or Mitel PBX systems

Preferred/Optional: Experience with Cisco routing and switching

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: State of Wisconsin valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
