Air Liquide

VIE - Energy & Bulk Pricing Analyst (Power) (M/F/D)

Sweden, Malmo Full time

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Air Liquide is a global leading supplier of industrial and medical gases. In the Nordics, Air Liquide operates production units to deliver industrial gases (oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide) to its industrial customers. The gas deliveries are done via pipelines (what we refer to as Large Industry customers) or as liquified gases with tube trailers (what we refer to as our Bulk business). It also runs filling stations throughout Nordics to deliver packaged gases to customers in many different segments. Air Liquide announced in March 2021 very ambitious Climate Objectives with the ultimate goal of being Climate Neutral by 2050, and intermediary steps in 2025 and 2035.

You will, in your daily work, be part of two teams.
Your formal position will be as a member of the Energy Management team, a joint function in the cluster of many countries, including the Nordics, Benelux, Germany, Poland and the UK. Your main focus will be the Nordic countries but you will be in contact with colleagues from other geographies.
In addition, you will be part of the Bulk Product Marketing team, also a joint Cluster function. Your focus will be the Nordic countries but will also require interaction with other counterparts in the Cluster

A thorough Energy Management is critical to ensure Air Liquide’s long term competitiveness and relevance in society, driven by three main factors:
- Rigorous Energy management is required as the production and distribution of industrial gases is a highly energy intensive process (with associated cost)
- Ambitious sustainability targets, achieved with new energy agreements, aiming to reduce Air Liquide’s carbon footprint
- Compliance to a highly dynamic and complex regulatory framework

If you are passionate about energy markets and the organizations operating at the heart of them, you are the person we are looking for.

You will work as an integral part of the Energy Management Department and the Bulk Product Marketing department but also in close cooperation with several other departments. You will be actively coached and supported by the Energy Manager of the Nordic countries and by the Bulk Pricing Manager of the Nordics.

You will have monthly recurring administrative tasks related to the montly follow-up of energy cost. However, most of the time will be on different improvement projects.

The goals of this VIE mission include:
- Develop an analytical model to follow the Energy Index balance for the Nordic countries. With the increasing and fluctuating energy prices it is important to define a model to closely follow the relation between the energy sourcing and our sales. This model will be built in close cooperation with colleagues from Sales and Business control.
- Enable continuous improvement of our energy management, by analyzing the current performance monitoring data and processes and initiate improvement topics by working with colleagues from Business Control, Digital & Data Science and other teams.
- Contribute to the development of Energy Transition projects: the Nordics are a front runner in the deployment of Air Liquide’s low carbon product offering and there is a strong ambition to further expand this
- Develop a Nordic analytical model for monthly follow up of various pricing actions and impacts to ensure an optimised cost pass through.
- Develop a live tool for frequent follow up of supply and demand. The model will be used to understand the correlation between product availability and customer commitments and demands. The tool will also be used as a basis for a volume forecast
