What will you be doing?

  • Serve as an instructional expert, modeling high-quality teaching practices and maintaining a consistent presence in classrooms.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs and observations to provide timely, actionable feedback that strengthens instructional excellence.
  • Partner with the Principal, Deans, and Directors to ensure curriculum fidelity, data-driven instruction, and effective use of assessments.
  • Facilitate professional development aligned with teacher growth areas and scholar achievement outcomes.
  • Use scholar data (including NJSLA and interim results) to inform coaching, instructional planning, and intervention strategies.
  • Co-teach and model effective instructional practices for new and developing teachers
  • Uphold and model the Foundation Academies Culture Handbook to maintain a structured, joyful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Lead restorative and proactive discipline systems to support scholar relationships, belonging, and engagement.
  • Promote scholar character development, leadership, and participation in school events and enrichment opportunities.
  • Supervise and coach teachers and team leads, providing evidence-based evaluations and clear next steps for improvement.
  • Build an adult culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional excellence rooted in mission alignment and continuous learning.
  • Partner with families and community organizations to strengthen home-school relationships and scholar support networks.
  • Support operational execution including schedules, safety, and compliance with MTSS, SPED, 504, ELL, and HIB processes.
  • Monitor scholar attendance, behavior, and climate data to drive continuous school improvement.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to review data, execute school-wide priorities, and deliver on organizational goals.
  • Lead with empathy, fairness, and integrity—modeling Foundation Academies’ values in every action and decision.

What do we require from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
  • Principal CE or eligibility within 30 days of employment.
  • At least 5 years of exceptional teaching experience with demonstrated scholar achievement.
  • 2+ years working in an urban education setting preferred
  • Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement
