Position Summary:

Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, anticipates significant further Infrastructure Equity product launches and fundraising activity in 2025 and beyond and is seeking a VP level candidate. As part of the GIP Infra Equity Product Strategy team the candidate will support product fundraising, new product launches, investor diligence and marketing collateral development, investor relations, and platform-strategic projects.

The VP will support the launch and fundraising of Infra Equity products globally by working closely with internal stakeholders (investment teams and other BlackRock teams such as Client Businesses, Consultant Relations, Risk & Analytics, Legal & Compliance and Ops & Admin) and external clients. The role will have a particular focus on the newly launched GIP Transition Fund.

The VP will also produce and quality check the investor diligence and investor relations needs of the business and serve as a bridge between the junior and senior Product Strategy Team.

This role will be exposed to a variety of investment and investor themes, will develop a strong understanding of a range of investment strategies within Infra Equity and will work very closely with other members of the GIP Infrastructure teams. Presentation and communication skills are essential to this role, particularly the ability to distil complex investment concepts into plain language. Knowledge of the Infrastructure Equity or broader infrastructure investment environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to AUM growth by supporting global fundraising and supporting the existing client relationship management of GIP’s Infra Equity strategies.
  • Work closely with investment team to understand and articulate investment strategy, process, and individual transactions to support product launch, client due diligence and relationship management
  • Responsible for content and narrative creation, market trends and competitors research, client materials preparations and due diligence support
  • Closely work with the Client Servicing teams on quarterly client reporting and ongoing investor queries
  • Exposure to GIP and BlackRock senior leadership by helping with platform-wide strategic projects, such as market research, competitor analysis and separately managed accounts proposals

Qualifications:

A strong candidate will bring knowledge/experience in a number, but not all, of the following:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Infrastructure Product Strategy, Fundraising or Portfolio Management
  • Knowledge of global fundraising campaign management, including regional variations between the US, Europe and Asia
  • Knowledge of the infrastructure investment environment preferable
  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, familiar with statistical analysis
  • Disciplined organizational and project management skills
  • Experience in working with large SWFs, pensions and/or insurance companies
  • Experience in a client facing role with the ability to clearly articulate infrastructure products and offerings
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and an ability to synthesize complex ideas
  • Ability to work as part of an internationally distributed team
  • Desire to develop talent and experience overseeing work of junior team
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$170,000.00 - USD$210,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
