Overview
The Data Center & Network Services organization is looking for a Vice President / Regional Head of Network Implementation & Operations for EMEA. This role is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and operational management of network infrastructure implementation and operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role demands a visionary leader with deep expertise in networking technology, operational support, and a strong focus on operational excellence.
Responsibilities
• Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage the L1 – L3 Operations and implementation teams, including network engineers, operations engineers, and support staff. Develop strategic plans for network operations, implementation, monitoring, and incident management. Collaborate with senior IT leadership to align network operations with organizational goals.
• Operational Oversight: Direct daily operations of the command center, ensuring 24/7 monitoring and support. Oversee troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution of major network incidents. Ensure timely escalation and communication of critical issues to stakeholders.
• Network Performance & Reliability: Monitor network performance metrics and implement improvements to ensure uptime and efficiency. Coordinate with infrastructure teams to optimize network design and scalability. Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning for network operations.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Implement and maintain network security protocols and incident response procedures.
All About You (Qualifications)
• Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years experience in network implementation and operations, with significant leadership exposure in multinational environments.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, cross-border projects.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Work Environment
The NOC will be a fast-paced, dynamic environment, often requiring quick decision-making and problem-solving. The role may involve working in a command center setting, monitoring systems, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring optimal network performance and security.
