Vice President Data & Insights APEMEA
Overview
APEMEA Strategy and Business Excellence team focuses on developing approaches to tackle top of mind business challenges shared across our Regions. VP Data & Insights is a role where you will fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. You will be taking strategy one step further to persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations. This role demands a change agent who is a visionary leader with deep expertise in data-driven strategy, cross-functional execution and stakeholder influence at the executive level.
About the Role
Continue to build end evolve the data and insights team pivoting with the changing business needs.
Shape and lead operational insights and KPI tracking across APEMEA, aligning with Mastercard’s global priorities and regional nuances.
Champion enterprise-wide data governance and insights generation to inform strategic decisions and performance optimization.
Support transformational sales initiatives (such as cross-selling, resource planning, target setting, territory planning, customer segmentation) and build mechanisms to track and report on their performance.
Lead analysis and insights for all executive deliverables i.e. Board and ELT presentations, QOR.
Oversee the development and integration of advanced analytics platforms and business intelligence tools to support executive visibility.
Provide regular performance reports and dashboards to Sales Leadership teams (such as Regional Presidents, Divisional President, Country Managers and BU Sales Leaders), allowing them to track progress, identify areas of concern, and provide targeted coaching.
Lead cross-regional collaboration with Sales Excellence, P&C, Legal, Marketing, and Product to ensure seamless execution of strategic programs.

About You
Experience designing, building and leading a high performing team.
Has proven track record of interpreting sales data and developing data-driven sales strategies, preferably in consulting or in-house strategy roles, experience in customer-facing teams is a plus
Deep knowledge of the payments industry and understanding of the Mastercard strategy, with curiosity and eagerness to learn about all aspects of Mastercard, including product, finance, and technology, to drive informed strategic decisions
Robust understanding of our internal data structures and sources as well as advanced analytics, data science, and business intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, SQL)
A problem-solver with an analytical mindset, capable of cutting through noise and complexity to guide teams to deliver on clear, actionable approaches and insights
Proven ability to influence various senior stakeholders and drive substantial change, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to navigate and influence at the highest levels of the organization
Politically savvy collaborator and consensus builder with a track record of bringing people together around a common cause
Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills as well as the ability to delegate effectively
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams without direct reporting lines, showcasing strong leadership and collaboration skills
Highly developed presentation, facilitation, and communication skills, both verbal and written
Resilient and able to work through ambiguity
A self-starter who can set challenging and meaningful goals for the team and deliver tangible results in a fast-paced environment
Has ability to foster a positive team culture, to help us continually learn, share knowledge, challenge one another to improve our sales operations and customer experience
