Lead a High-Impact, Enterprise-Scale SAP Transformation
Thomson Reuters is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Systems Transformation to drive the strategic transformation of our multi-year Order to Cash modernization program within the Commercial & Corporate Engineering organization.
We are modernizing our commercial systems and consolidating multiple legacy ERP platforms into a unified SAP S/4HANA ecosystem across multiple entities and countries.
We're looking for a proven leader who has successfully navigated this level of complexity multiple times and can serve as the central orchestrator—driving executive visibility, critical decisions, and transformational outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial & Corporate Engineering, this hybrid individual contributor role offers the opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, influencing senior stakeholders while maintaining the technical depth to drive complex transformations.
About the Role
As Vice President, Commercial Systems Transformation, you will:
Lead the enterprise-wide migration from SAP ECC and SAP SD to SAP S/4HANA and SAP BRIM, consolidating multiple legacy ERP systems into a unified solution across multiple entities and countries
Serve as the central point for this multi-year transformation program, providing executive leadership with clear visibility into progress, risks, and critical decision points across complex, concurrent workstreams
Drive comprehensive business process reengineering across the entire commercial stack—from marketing and sales (lead-to-order) through order-to-cash, customer success, financial systems, and source-to-pay platforms
Orchestrate and influence across a matrixed organization of business leaders, product owners, engineering teams, and external consulting partners
Define strategic technical architecture and integration patterns for the commercial technology ecosystem, including Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA, Conga, and supporting platforms
Drive the Order-to-Cash acceleration workstream, collaborating with Commercial Excellence and transformation teams to simplify commercial models and deliver improved customer experiences
Guide Epic/Sprint teams through the SDLC process to achieve overall roadmap outcomes, flexing between strategic oversight and deep technical problem-solving as needed
Independently manage multiple high-profile, concurrent initiatives with competing priorities and complex interdependencies
Provide executive presence to C-suite stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business value and transformation vision
About You
You're a strong fit for the role if you have:
Proven SAP transformation leadership: 15+ years of technology leadership experience with a track record of leading multiple multi-entity, multi-country SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations at Fortune 500 or similarly scaled organizations
Deep experience and expertise in ERP migrations, commercial simplification, Order to Cash modernization and S4/HANA and related technologies.
Enterprise consolidation experience: Demonstrated success consolidating multiple legacy ERP systems into unified platforms at complex, global enterprises
Strong technical and leadership acumen: Engineering leadership background with expertise in ERP ecosystem architecture, cloud platforms, integration patterns, and commercial software ecosystems (CRM, ERP, CPQ)
Ability to lead through influence: Proven track record of building consensus and driving results in matrix organizations across business and technology stakeholders at all levels
Executive communication skills: Exceptional ability to distil complex technical concepts for C-suite and board-level audiences
Delivery track record: History of independently driving multiple large-scale transformation programs from strategy through execution
Consulting or corporate transformation background: Experience from top-tier consulting firms (e.g., Big 4) leading SAP transformation practices, or in-house transformation leadership at complex, multi-entity organizations
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred
CPQ/billing platform experience (preferred): Familiarity with Conga or similar CPQ/billing platforms in complex enterprise environments
