Senior executive leader responsible for driving the overall business growth strategy, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the organization's presence in the market. This role involves leading the business development team, collaborating with other executive leaders, and ensuring that the organization’s services and messaging aligns with market needs and opportunities.
Job responsibilities
•Proactively identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the clinical trials and RWD&E market segments
•Monitor market trends and emerging segments to inform go-to-market strategies, revenue targets, and pinpoint potential areas for expansion
•Establish and foster strong relationships with clients and other key stakeholders to grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline
•Act as a primary point of contact for major client accounts, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships
•Oversee development and delivery of compelling proposals and presentations to diverse audiences / prospective clients at industry events and conferences
•Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of sales materials with brand messaging and strategic objectives
•Lead MSA (Master Service Agreement) contract negotiations, striving to secure terms that meet organizational objectives while enhancing client relationships
•Facilitate customer feedback loops and communication across departments to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and business development
•Build, lead, and mentor the sales & business development team, promoting a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
•12+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within research, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industries
•A minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role with responsibility for go-to-market strategy development and sales execution preferred
•Extensive network of industry contacts along with a proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and securing major contracts or partnerships
•Expert negotiator capable of securing favorable terms and building win-win partnerships
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating value propositions effectively to executive audiences and prospective clients
•Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, drug development, and clinical research services; prior sales positions with major clinical research organizations (CROs) or related services companies is highly advantageous
•Ability to develop long-term strategies that align with organizational goals and market opportunities
•Bachelor’s degree in biology, business administration, research, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, Doctorate in Clinical Research) preferred
•Willingness and ability to travel a significant amount of the time for client meetings, conferences, and other business-related activities
