UQ

Veterinary Teaching Hospital Practice Manager

Gatton Campus Full time

About This Opportunity

Step into a leadership role where your impact will be felt every day by our staff, our students, and the animals in our care.

As the Practice Manager for UQ’s world-class Veterinary Teaching Hospitals, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic clinical environment that blends education, research, and compassionate care. You’ll lead diverse teams across clinical, nursing, and client services to deliver outstanding experiences for every patient and client, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement, and contributing to after-hours on-call duties as part of the hospital’s leadership team.

Working in partnership with the Business Manager and VTH Clinical Director, you’ll shape how our hospitals run — from streamlining processes and supporting workforce planning to guiding strategic decisions and resource use. This is your opportunity to help UQ continue setting the standard for veterinary teaching and clinical service in Australia.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Championing smooth, efficient, and high-quality clinical operations across all hospital sites.

  • Leading and empowering professional staff to deliver exceptional care and client service.

  • Partnering with senior leaders to enhance planning, budgeting, and operational performance.

  • Driving innovation, collaboration, and a culture of excellence across our teaching hospitals.
