Position Summary:
The Vendor Support Specialist responds to vendor inquiries and resolves vendor payment disputes.
What you will do:
Manages vendor disputes and assists with dispute resolution while providing excellent customer service
Performs research and resolves advanced discrepancies.
Investigates and responds to vendor issues - payment inquiries, payment discrepancies
Responds to and resolves urgent credit hold situations
Escalates vendor risk (red flags) and status to leadership where necessary
Awareness and understanding of vendor metrics to identify situations requiring action or further analysis.
Communicates with internal/external customers and vendors
Trains new system users including vendors and internal GFS employees and provides support
May serve as the main contact between Stores and Vendors for Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Invoice Discrepancy Processing.
Performs other duties as assigned
When you will work:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Hybrid Work Schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day from home.
What you will bring to the table:
Two or more years of customer service, accounts payable experience or similar.
High School Diploma required.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
Basic math skills (arithmetic and simple addition/subtraction, ordering, etc).
Comparing, analyzing, coordinating, copying, etc. and ability to recognize non-standard situations / discrepancies with invoices
Reading (standard), writing (business email), speaking (basic, conversational)
Customer service and relationship building
Self directed, organized, and able to make prioritization assessments.
Finding and locating details on a computer, using mouse, etc.
