Job Description

As a VAT Intern, you will support the VAT team in preparing and submitting European tax returns, performing reconciliations, and assisting with statistical reporting. You will report to the VAT Manager EMEA & LA and have a hybrid schedule working in Rotterdam - Netherlands.

Your Responsibilities:

• Gather base data and complete VAT and Intrastat returns for sales and manufacturing locations in EMEA.
• Collaborate with controllers and financial assistants to ensure returns are prepared and submitted
• Help with account reconciliations and ensure General Ledger accounts are accurate.
• Participate in meetings to stay updated on VAT regulations in Europe and Latin America.
• Analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Work with AR, AP, and GL departments to support correct processing of invoices and journal entries.

The Essentials – You Will Have:

• Minimum HBO required and studying for a Higher Education degree in Finance.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office products: Excel and Word.
• English language proficiency (written and spoken).
