Job Summary
The Value and Access Insights Senior associate is responsible for analytics relating to managed care/organized customers and help shape payer & IDN strategies for Value & Analytics insights organization for Retail, Specialty, Oncology and Rare disease areas. The individual will be part of a cross functional analytics team to support insights and analytics across these therapeutic areas. This role is specifically responsible for providing insights impacting payer reimbursement strategies through secondary data analytics and data integration

In the face of a US health care system growing more complex day-by-day, we must constantly adapt and evolve our strategies to ensure our patients have appropriate access to our medicines. The Value & Access (V&A) Insights Senior associate will play a critical role in monitoring, diagnosis and performing analytics, to address payer obstacles and challenges. In this role, you will partner with US Insights & analytics and Coverage and Pricing team to build a deep understanding of the US managed markets environment for assigned products. You will provide integrated analysis combining multiple primary and secondary data sources to uncover deep insights that will guide payer, access, and reimbursement strategies.
Responsibilities:
Produce and deliver regular performance dashboards based on complex data sources, including claims data, payer rebate data, DDD data and IDN affiliations data
Understand pharmaceutical ecosystem and data sets including medical and pharmacy claims (ex. IQVIA LAAD, Symphony Claims), prescription (ex. IQVIA NPA), outlet (ex. IQVIA DDD)
Provide in-depth, expertise-based oversight and delivery of managed markets analysis including product formulary position, utilization management controls, customer segmentation and control/sophistication assessment.
Prepare, continuously refine and present periodic reports tracking product and portfolio performance against business objectives.
Execute analytics plan to support payer insights from various payer datasets based on detailed understanding of related datasets i.e. Patient level claims data; Payer claims data; Formulary coverage; Specialty Pharmacy Data.
Perform advanced analytics including longitudinal patient level analysis, time series modeling, customer segmentation and diagnostics in support of business questions
Create data analytics models to generate strategic actionable business insights using SQL, Python and Microsoft Excel
Basic Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 1 to 3 years of computer science, statistics or STEM majors with a minimum of 1 year of Information Systems experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of computer science, statistics or STEM majors with a minimum of 2 years of Information Systems experience OR
Diploma and 7 to 9 years of computer science, statistics or STEM majors with a minimum of 2 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of marketing analytics in the pharmaceutical industry
Foundational understanding of US pharmaceutical ecosystem and Patient support services offerings (Copay) and other standard data sets including claims, prescription
Strong expertise in any one of the visualization tools – Tableau or Power-BI
Experience in database languages (e.g. SQL)
Ability to think strategically to support key business decisions
Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment across different functional groups
Demonstrated analytical skills—understands the strengths and limitations of different analytical approaches and their findings
Skill in handling multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks and projects simultaneously
High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills
Exhibits strong understanding of business strategies
