US Sickle Cell Disease Regional Marketing Director East
Why Patients Need You
As a Regional Marketing Director on our Sickle Cell Marketing Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing national and regional strategies that bring our innovative pipeline of sickle cell disease therapies to life. This individual will lead the localization of marketing initiatives that resonate health systems and patient communities. This is a unique opportunity to drive commercial readiness and market shaping efforts in a high-impact therapeutic area, while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure our pipeline delivers on its promise to transform care for people living with sickle cell disease.
There are ~100k SCD patients in the US but only ~25% are under the regular care of an HCP with ~75% only under acute reactive care often frequently cycling through emergency rooms. Sickle Cell Disease can be a life-threatening condition but many patients fall out of care during the transition from pediatrics to adult care. Health system strategies include working to improve the transition from pediatrics to adults as well as working on solutions to ensure patients being discharged from health systems are set up with a hematologist to shift to more proactive care. This is imperative not only to be the catalyst for the appropriate care of patients with sickle cell disease, which leads to a shortened lifespan for those afflicted, but also to reshape the market for pipeline medicines that are currently in late-stage clinical trials.
The Sickle Cell Disease Regional Marketing Director works with Regional Key Account Director teams, across a broad, multi-disciplinary group of stakeholders to provide customer insights and patient/account driven solutions that create opportunities for Sickle Cell Disease within Health Systems (i.e., National Accounts, COE’s, Medical Groups), and third-party affiliates.
