WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
The Associate Tax & Compliance Analyst is responsible for accurate tax withholding processing and reporting associated with America’s payroll, including system updates, quarterly reporting, adjustments, Workday data maintenance and agency communications and relationships.
HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT
Uploads Tax Notices to Payroll Notice Tracker.
Prepares and hold weekly meetings for Tax Notice updates.
Creates, updates and follows up on unresolved Tax Notices with Payroll vendor.
Pull reports, forms, returns and other documents needed for Audits.
Clears Payroll Tax Data errors during payroll – including registrations if needed.
Creates/updates work instructions.
Performs system testing as required.
Assists with review of address change/location change reports.
Downloads and saves all quarterly tax returns, amended returns, SODs and W2Cs for upload to PCX.
Enters SUI tax rate changes into ADP.
SUI rate validation Equifax to ADP.
Responds and resolves internal Service Now tickets.
Partners with 3rd party Tax Vendor and PCSC for tax related processes and deliverables.
Creates POAs/TPAs as needed.
Assists with Quarterly Error report review and resolution.
Assists with Prior Quarter Adjustments.
Assists with current quarter adjustments.
Monitors GBS and PPS email boxes as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Human Resources, OR related field.
Ability to research, troubleshoot ADP Smart Compliance system errors and other complex issues to bring to resolution.
Intermediate Excel skills.
Knowledge of payroll labor, tax and compliance laws.
Strong critical thinking, problem analysis and resolution skills.
Data and database analysis.
Must be customer service oriented and able to communicate effectively with all personnel levels.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
Nice-to-Have
Experience with Workday, and ADP payroll systems preferred.
Certified Payroll Professional, or similar professional designation preferred.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
Data analysis and complex calculations.
Non-standard work schedule, travel or environmental requirements
May need to work non-standard hours depending on projects / payroll cycles assigned and payroll processing schedule.

Secondment 18 months
