UI/UX Designer

Key Role:

Support the design for a fiscal global financial regulator as a UI/UX Designer. Support the UI/UX lead designer and client directly, and be part of a larger Booz Allen team. Collaborate with matrixed clients and stakeholders, ranging from product owners, global financial regulator managers, and federal agency end-users.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design
  • 2+ years of experience working with Agile or Scrum teams and utilizing user-centered design and design thinking methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience supporting user feedback sessions and testing, taking notes, and translating user needs and research findings into clean, intuitive, and accessible UI designs
  • 2+ years of experience with synthesis across various mechanisms, including qualitative and quantitative data
  • 2+ years of experience developing wireframes, prototypes, or high-fidelity visual designs using Figma, presenting design work clearly and confidently to internal and external stakeholders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers to ensure feasibility and implementation fidelity
  • 2+ years of experience with responsive and mobile-first design practices, and UI/UX design in a data-heavy or government-facing environment
  • 2+ years of experience creating user flows, journey maps, and interaction models to guide design decisions
  • Ability to display a portfolio and samples showcasing UI/UX work, including user flows and high-fidelity mockups
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) and government digital service standards
  • 2+ years of experience working closely with product managers to align designs with business and user goals
  • 2+ years of experience with modern design tools, including Figma and Adobe CC
  • 2+ years of experience collaborating cross-functionally with developers, PMs, and complex stakeholders
  • 2+ years of experience working with web accessibility standards such as Section 508 or WCAG, and ensuring they’re embedded in all design deliverables
  • 1+ years of experience conducting research around AI design pattern usability and best practices, and carry throughout designs
  • Experience with video editing using tools such as Adobe After Effects
  • Knowledge of UI design best practices
  • Possession of excellent communication and presentation skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
