This entry-level role supports the coordination of field visits, allowing Compassion visitors to engage directly with sponsored children, local projects, and field staff. These experiences aim to raise awareness about poverty, foster cross-cultural understanding, and inspire child advocacy.
The specialist helps plan and execute trips by working with internal teams and church partners to manage logistics such as accommodations, transportation, translation, gift purchases, and home visits—always ensuring alignment with Compassion’s child protection policies and budget guidelines.
The role involves learning and supporting tour activities under the guidance of a supervisor or experienced team members, contributing to the successful execution and evaluation of each visit.
What will you do?
Support the marketing team in organizing vision trips for sponsors and donors, offering direct experiences that encourage child sponsorship and engagement.
Coordinate with the partnership team and church partners to plan visits, and provide feedback to improve the quality of tours and partner capacity.
Identify, train, and manage translators to support interactions during visits, including handling payments.
Ensure participant safety and protect Compassion’s interests, using external resources to support secure travel.
Manage logistics for marketing-related groups, including booking accommodations, arranging transportation, and purchasing gifts.
Explain Compassion’s programs and trip objectives, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure meaningful and effective field visits.
Provide guidance and support to other professionals and staff involved in organizing tours.
What should you bring?
Professional Degree in Tourism Management, Business Management and International Relations, Communications, Translation, or related fields.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
2+ years of experience coordinating international visits, travel logistics, and fieldwork.
2+ years of experience managing budgets and working with vendors.
Driver’s license (preferred).
Knowledge of MS Office and digital tools (Teams, Zoom, Outlook, etc.).
Understanding of the country’s cultural context and the organization’s mission.

Working Conditions
Modality: On-site
Location: Must reside Quito or Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking up to 8 hours per day
Travel Requirements: May require travel up to 50% of working hours
