Position Summary
As an Endurance / Triathlon Coach you will assist our members by educating, delivering and connecting them to our industry leading strategy of the Core 3 as well as with our Life Time Triathlon even series and other programs. You will work with athletes of all abilities to help them achieve their fitness and race related goals. As a subject matter expert you will provide them knowledge in comprehensive assessments, personalized nutrition and lifestyle and in customized workouts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Helps to build relationships with the area triathlon community and maintaining the triathlon client base
- Delivers one on one and/or small group training programs
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of triathlon training techniques and concepts
- Delivers the best tri-training experience possible for members
- Promotes and facilitates triathlon information sessions, triathlon clinics, and seminars
- Sells ancillary services related to tri-training (i.e. metabolic testing, nutrition coaching, etc.)
- Assists in the promotion and execution of certain events such as the Indoor Triathlon and local LT events
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Personal Trainer Certification
- Certification from USA Triathlon, USA Cycling, Ironman University, or other acceptable Endurance training specific certifications within 6 months of hire
- CPR and AED Certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or another related field
- 3 years experience of Triathlon Training and Racing
- 1 year or more experience of Triathlon Coaching
- 1 to 2 years experience of Personal Training
- Experience with program design
