Treasury Ops. & Cash Management Analyst

Inside the Role

Treasury Operations is responsible for the administration of all treasury contracts; Works with relationship banks to setup cash management products and services as well enhance existing processes to best accommodate Daimler entity needs. A strong relationship with Cash Management banks is essential in order to structure and optimize the overall bank account structure and ensure the proper execution of all payments. Efficiently gather Bank information to identify current cash management trends and future needs. Work with global team to implement payment automation processes. In addition to daily operations, the main tasks are the monitoring, controlling, maintenance and development of processes to ensure the highest possible level of quality and customer satisfaction in all cash management related functions especially relating to payments.

Position offers a starting salary range of $71,000 - $91,000 USD 

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience​

What You Drive

Confirmations & Settlements

  • Ensure correct and complete recording & administration of all treasury contracts in compliance with all applicable standards. Confirmation, settlement and administration of all financial transactions of NAFTA Treasury entities as well as asserting the internal and external auditability.

  • Treasury payments and related documentation. Provide timely and accurate payment on treasury contracts, safeguard process security and quality.

  • Ensure adherence to all treasury and compliance guidelines, especially the "four-eye" principle and segregation of duties.

  • Process invoice payments in close cooperation with the accounting department.

Entity Data Management

  • Administration of signing, trading and other authorizations. Center of Competence for the finance operations of the NAFTA group entities. Manage counterparty data, Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI), Banking authorizations (List of Authorized Signatures).

  • Correspondence with banks regarding opening, closing and general administration of all NAFTA bank accounts. Responsible for the account management of selected Daimler group entities. Ensure appropriate global transparency on Daimler's bank account.

  • Administration of external online bank and payment systems within the NAFTA region and assertion of internal and external auditability. Manage online banking platforms ensuring proper segregation of duties in the setup and administration of security rights and users in accordance to standards.

  • Analyze and implement various entity requests to add, remove or modify banking services - consultation and administration of services (e.g., debit blocks, etc.)

Cash Management

  • Analyze and evaluate the different existing payment processes. This also includes an ongoing optimization of the company’s cash and bank account structure.

  • Proactively identify and escalate any possible project issues in a timely manner for successful resolution.

  • Coordinate the testing of payment files and connections between entities and banks.

  • Lead the ongoing development of robust cash management methodologies and processes as well as implementation of new bank technologies, products and services to improve and simplify operations.

Other Treasury Ops. & Cash Management Activities

  • Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity management when the specialist is on leave or time-off.

  • Support in managing and coordinating guarantees, including Letters of Credit, surety bonds, and Corporate Guarantees. Prepare reports, process fee payments, and accurately record contingent liabilities.

  • Oversee logistics for executive meetings, including venue booking,

  • Provide administrative assistance to project leads, including managing correspondence, filing documents, and organizing project-related materials.

  • Support in the preparation and distribution of project-related communications, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

  • Help maintain project documentation and databases, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily accessible.

  • Facilitate team collaboration by organizing and documenting meetings, distributing minutes, and tracking action items.

  • Assist in drafting and proofreading project-related communications, maintaining a professional and consistent tone.

  • Resolve any banking issues by acting as liaison between banks, accounting, and other internal departments. Analyze fees versus the benchmark and/or bank offers

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelors Degree from accredited school and 3-5 years of Treasury experience OR 6 years of Banking & Cash Management experience equivalent work experience with emphasis in:

  • Business Management

  • Computer/Information Science Economics

  • Finance

  • International Relations/Business Mathematics

  • Statistics

  • Banking or finance background is essential

  • Requires working knowledge and expanded professional experience in job field

  • Requires understanding of key business drivers

  • Works independently within guidelines and policies to solve problems of moderate complexity

  • Provides informal guidance to new team members

  • May lead projects or processes as required

  • Must have 5 - 7 years (total) of experience in the following:

  • Business – General: Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that influence the success and profitability of the organization.

  • Finance Proficient: Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.

  • Risk Management: Knowledge of fundamental business practices, concepts and techniques to protect and preserve assets and/or minimize/control loss, such as avoidance, loss prevention and reduction, retention, grouping of exposure units, and transfer. Should include knowledge of fidelity, surety, liability, property, and group related policies and coverages
