Job Description:

The part-time Transportation Coordinator is responsible for providing reliable, safe, and courteous transportation services between facility and parking locations. This position plays an important role in maintaining smooth daily operations and administrative services for the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Shuttle Operations

  • Safely operate facility-owned shuttle vans to transport employees and materials between designated locations.
  • Maintain daily route schedules, ensuring timeliness and reliability.
  • Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, providing courteous service at all times.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of vehicles.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety standards, and facility transportation policies.

Administrative & Facility Support

  • Communicate delivery and transportation schedules with department leaders.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, mileage, and delivery activities.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training as required by facility policy.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in courier, or transportation operations; healthcare or institutional setting preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation services.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional demeanor and customer service focus.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality practices preferred.
